Overview
The Legacy LMS is a dedicated B2B web dashboard built as the functional backend for the R.S. Gavai Memorial. It was designed to digitize an extensive catalog of historical literature, providing library staff and administrators with a streamlined, highly efficient tool to handle daily cataloging, user management, and circulation tracking.
Challenge
Archival systems are notoriously clunky and data-heavy. The primary challenge was transforming decades of physical records, scattered documents, and complex borrowing data into a lightweight, user-friendly digital interface. The dashboard needed to handle thousands of entries and multi-lingual data without causing cognitive overload or operational fatigue for the library staff.
Approach
I focused on building a scalable information architecture and frictionless operational workflows. My UX strategy prioritized utility, readability, and accessibility—utilizing a high-contrast UI, a logical 12-column fluid grid, and a tri-lingual smart search. This ensured staff could perform complex tasks, like issuing books or filtering deep inventory, with minimal clicks.
The Solution
The final platform is a highly efficient SaaS-style dashboard that perfectly bridges physical history with digital data management. It features a scannable command center for instant analytics, a streamlined 4-step "Issue Book" flow, and dynamic inventory tables. Ultimately, it empowers the memorial staff to preserve and manage Dadasaheb's profound intellectual legacy with absolute ease.
